CAPA UIUC (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) is a diverse, nonpartisan coalition of students and citizens who share a commitment to peace through justice. We also strongly believe that peacebuilding is a path toward justice, and support restorative justice, conflict mediation, and transitional justice (including Truth and Reconciliation efforts) as ways to heal our society and unite diverse groups of people in an effort to make the world a better, more just place.
Our current campaigns are in support of the Justice for Black Farmers Act and a Re-investment Campaign for our university to divest from the War Machine and re-invest in life-affirming projects and policies. So, if you are looking to find your voice in the ever-growing movement for social change, find CAPA UIUC! Check out our social media platforms and website for more info about our group, or reach us at capa@chipeaceaction.org.
