Join us in honoring Wadee Alfayoumi, the 6-year-old child killed in Illinois on October 16th, 2023 by a landlord — a hate crime that defies understanding. CAPA invites you to show up in support of our Palestinian and Muslim communities at this difficult time. This event is co-sponsored by the Muslim Civic Coalition, Muslim Community Center, and Lake Street Church.
Let’s gather for this program to address hate crimes and the vulnerable children as horror unfolds in Gaza. We will discuss how to support HR 942 and SR 589, congressional resolutions that address hate crimes and hate speech against Palestinian community members.
Showing up is what we can do as we build a louder voice for justice in Palestine, and for freedom and safety for our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
